Burnett gets hammered by the Diamondbacks, Yanks lose 10-3

By Jose “Pepitone” Reyes

It didn’t take too long for everyone to notice that Burnett didn’t have it. He was bombarded in the very first inning as he gave up 5 runs after getting the first two batters out. The Diamondbacks then proceeded to hit three homers and a ground rule double. What an assault on the now 6-6 number two starter. His ERA is now at 4.83 and he is tied with the most homers given up with Vazquez at 13, Sabathia has yielded 12. Chan Ho Park should go on rehab again himself as he pitches 2 innings and gives up 3 runs. Burnett is in Yankee fans minds now. Does he deserve to be the number two starter any more? Can he be trusted? Will he bounce back? Yanks get killed 10-3 Box Score and Highlights.
