The Yankees and the Blue Jays had survival of the fittest as 11 pitchers were used between both teams. Very unusual when after 9 innings the game was tied at ONE! A.J. Burnett came to pitch today, he went 6.2 innings gave up 4 hits and left the game with no earned runs and a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately, Cecil was very affective also for the Blue Jays as he pitched 6.0 innings with 1 earned run and gave up 4 hits also. Marte pitched to one batter in the 7th and preserved the lead. In the top of the 8th Joba came in and gave up a walk with one out to Bautista. Vernon Wells flied out to right, two outs and Bautista still on first. Lind then singled to left but Bautista was not able to score. Joba just had to find a way to record that last out and the Yanks would have a great chance to win 1-0 with Mo in the ninth. Did not happen! Hill singled to right and Bautista scored, 1-1, game tied. Joba was able to get a groundball out from Overbay to record the third out but the damage was done. Mo came in the ninth and retired the side. In the 10th David Robertson comes in and manages to prevent Wise from scoring after walking him with two outs. wise stole second Cervelli’s throw was wild and Wise trotted to 3rd. Hill lined out to left, three outs. Then came the top of the 11th, disaster! Robertson looses control and Toronto pick him apart, the inning ens with a 5 spot for the Blue Jays. Chan Ho Park does his usual contribution and gives up a run himself. Blue Jays now lead 6-1, inning finally ends and the Yanks have last slicks. Bottom of the 11th, nothing! Yanks lose 6-1. Oh, if anyone was wandering how the four Toronto relievers fared against the Yankee batters, they were outstanding! Between Camp, Downs, Fraser and Gregg, they gave up a total of ONE HIT. Yankees better wake up and take some extra batting practice iin the process. Box Score and Highlights.

“I’m excited. It was a long year for me last year being hurt,” said Moseley, who strained his throwing elbow early in the 2009 season before also undergoing left hip surgery in August. “Everyone kind of dreams to play for the Yankees. For it to all take place and come about, it’s pretty neat.”….Continue reading
